Banana Chips Production Line

The banana chips production line is an automated equipment system specially designed for large-scale production of banana chips. It achieves efficient and hygienic processing by adopting low-temperature vacuum frying technology.

Product Introduction

Main Equipment Composition:

1.Pretreatment Equipment

  • Washing and Peeling Machine: It uses food-grade spray systems to thoroughly remove sand and impurities from banana surfaces, and adopts automatic peeling technology to avoid manual contamination.
  • Slicing Machine: Precisely controls slice thickness at 2–3 mm to ensure even frying; some models feature adjustable thickness to meet different production needs.
  • Blanching and Dehydration Machine: Gently inhibits enzymatic activity in bananas to prevent oxidative browning, while removing excess surface moisture to prepare the raw material for frying.

2.Frying System

  • Frying Machine: Made of 304 stainless steel, it is equipped with a high-performance water-circulating vacuum pump to maintain a stable vacuum degree below -0.09 MPa. The frying chamber adopts a multi-layer rotating design, ensuring even heating of banana slices and preventing sticking or burning. An intelligent temperature control system precisely regulates the oil temperature within 80–120 °C, and adjusts the frying time according to banana ripeness to improve product consistency.
  • Oil Circulation and Filtration System: It removes food residues produced during frying via a filtering device, extending the service life of cooking oil and reducing consumption costs.

3.Oil Removal System

  • Centrifugal Oil Removing Machine: It quickly removes excess oil from the surface of banana chips by means of vacuum treatment, controlling the oil content of finished products below 25%. With advanced equipment, the oil content can even be reduced to under 16%, achieving a low-fat and healthy product standard.

4. Cooling and Seasoning System

  • Quick Air Cooler: Cools deoiled banana chips down to room temperature with high-pressure airflow, avoiding softening caused by residual heat.
  • Seasoning Drum: Adds seasonings such as white sugar, honey, salt and pepper according to market demand to achieve a variety of flavors.

5. Packaging System

  • Automatic Packaging Machine: Adopts vacuum or nitrogen-filled packaging to prevent the product from moisture absorption and softening, effectively extending its shelf life. Some units are equipped with a metal detection system to ensure food hygiene and safety.

6. Intelligent Control System

  • PLC Control Panel: Integrated with electrical components from leading brands such as Siemens and Schneider Electric, it realizes fully automatic control from feeding to discharging. Operators only need to set key parameters including temperature, pressure and time to complete mass production, greatly cutting labor costs.
  • Data Monitoring and Remote Debugging: Some high-end production lines support real-time monitoring of equipment operating status, enabling timely fault detection and troubleshooting to ensure continuous and stable production.

Process Flow:

  • Raw material processing: After screening, washing, peeling and slicing, bananas are blanched and dehydrated to remove surface impurities and excess moisture.
  • Vacuum frying: Banana slices are fried at a low temperature of 80–120 °C under vacuum for rapid dehydration and drying, retaining nutrients and natural color.
  • Oil removal and cooling: Excess oil is removed by centrifugal deoiling, followed by air cooling to prevent softening.
  • Seasoning and packaging: Seasonings are added as required, and the finished products are finally packaged by automatic machine to ensure hygiene and food safety.
